Important Notice -
We do not accept consolidated deliveries
General Presentation Rules
- Each unit of stock must be delivered with EANs and a swing tag. The EAN must be able to be scanned through the poly bag.
- Stock should not have an RRP on the swing tag as the selling value online may differ from the physical label.
- Each unit of stock must be individually poly bagged and does not need to be from an approved source but must be made from polythene (so they can be recycled) and have a suffocation warning clearly printed.
- If you send us multipacks please ensure they are polybagged as a unit and only have one barcode. If multiple units have barcodes you should cover the additional barcodes before sending them to us. Failure to do so may result in accidental refurbishment of singles rather than processing them together as 'one unit'.
- Please do not use excessive tissue or filler although we appreciate some trims may need to be covered to prevent impressions.
- Please do not add silica gel bags. If you want to avoid excessive moisture getting to your item, please source alternative non-toxic options.
- Loose-lidded footwear boxes should be secured with elastic bands to avoid shoes falling out on their journey through the conveyor belts.
- Please do not add any additional POS or barcoded stickers onto the bag or product. We will need to remove them which may slow down the processing speed (however, we appreciate some of these items have been picked from within your stock pool - please let us know if this is an issue for you).
Boxed Stock
- Your cartons must be palletised and shrink wrapped for easy transport in and around the warehouse. In exceptional circumstances, we can allow for deliveries of under 20 cartons loose loaded.
- Cartons must not exceed 15kgs each.
- All cartons must be safely stacked and secured on pallets and must not exceed 6 feet in height. Double-stacked pallets will be refused for health and safety reasons.
- Cartons need to be BDCM 1, 2 or 3
- Please bear in mind when loading deliveries that we require adequate space for a dock leveler and enough room to unload your goods with a fork lift truck without disturbing neighbouring pallets.
- Please advise diana_szogi@next.co.uk if your product is oversized, this may need to go to our large goods warehouse and will require your booking access to be changed.
- Cartons must be presented on a pallet with box end labels facing outwards.
- Contracts should not be mixed across several pallets although overflow from one to the other is manageable for efficiency of loading.
- Your carton box end labels must state batch numbers (1 of 3, 2 of 5 etc)
- You must try to use a carton size that is appropriate to limit loose space.
- Do not include Hangers within cartons
-
Box end labels can be whatever shape or size you like as long as it is clear, facing outwards and includes the following information:
- Cartons to state 1 of 5, 2 of 5 etc
- Your Brand name, especially if you supply several brand names to us
- Quantity in the carton
- The address of the warehouse e.g Elmsall Way
- Whether the stock is mixed or not
- See example at the end of this article
Mixing Stock
We will not accept unsegregated stock that is delivered to our warehouse. You must not mix colours or styles without clear segregation within the carton.
If you must mix stock, we can allow for certain cartons to be mixed for delivery but only by size, which must adhere to the below guidance:
- Make sure that different items are clearly segregated / separated within a box using bagging, cardboard or paper (see Fig.1 below) between sizes.
- Declare on the box end label that the contents are mixed.
Multi-Pack Stock
- If you send us multipacks please ensure they are polybagged as a saleable unit with only one barcode visible. If multiple units have barcodes you should cover the additional barcodes before sending them to us. Failure to do so may result in accidental refurbishment of singles rather than processing them together as 'one unit'.
-
The item should be CLEARLY labelled as a multi-pack on the product itself, not just the poly bag. The best practice for this is to add a sticker that says 'I am part of a 3pack' or similar.
- Please ensure your imagery has been submitted well before delivery to help us identify it as a multi-pack at intake.
- Please ensure you provide an example of your multipack via email to your product team so we can confirm it is acceptable. All multi-pack stock will be examined on a case-by-case basis before delivery
Vehicle Standards
- If a HGV it should be able to lock onto our bays using a stertil lock system
- Smaller vehicles are acceptable but should be accessible by a forklift truck via the doors or a side curtain.
- We cannot accept vehicles with tail-lifts if it is not accessible via a forklift truck
Pallets
- The height restriction for delivery of stock is 6ft including the pallet.
- Ensure each carton on the pallets weigh less than 15kg.
- Please utilise pallets to the full capacity (with respect to the height and weight requirements above). This is to encourage floor space efficiency at the warehouse. If pallets are under utilised (i.e a single row of cartons on a single pallet) your delivery may be refused.
- Pallets must be four-way entry and measure no bigger than 1200mm x 1000mm. They also must be capable of carrying 500kg in pallet racking, with an open-board design and a perimeter base.
- We are unable to accept Euro Ad or Chep Pallets.
- Please do not mix contracts across pallets (however, contracts can overflow from one pallet to the next to enable loading efficiencies).
- All cartons must be shrink wrapped and securely stacked.
Hanging Stock
If you deliver hanging stock to us, we will initially need to test that your hangers will work in our automated system. To do this, please send us an example of the hanger where we will assess if we need to change as part of the refurb process. Hangers can be sent to the operations team at Next Head Office (please contact Diana_szogi@next.co.uk to arrange this). Don't worry if we aren't able to use your hangers as we can replace with our own.
- Hanging items should be delivered on rails, either loose on bars or in hanging boxes.
- Please deliver in size order, ideally with markers between the sizes for easy processing.
- Please do not add any size cubes or tape around the hangers.
- Over bags must not exceed 172cm from top of hanger to bottom of shroud.
- The shroud must not cover the top 2 inches of hanger. (I.E do not cover any more than the straight of the hook before the curve)
Any Boxed to Hanging stock needs to also be delivered to Stadium Way Distribution Centre and booked in via FastTrack using the correct drop down option.
Warehouse Locations
We have several warehouse locations dotted throughout the UK, however, the surest way to confirm your exact delivery location is when you book through our FastTrack booking system. Once you have made a booking, you will receive a confirmation like the image below. This will confirm your exact delivery address as shown in 'Delivery Address' here:
If you are unsure on your delivery location or need further assistance, please contact the Brand Liaison Team diana_szogi@next.co.uk and jesselyn_handokolumarso@next.co.uk
Delivering via Courier (The Post Room)
Many brands are now using couriers to deliver smaller quantities of cartons.
We can accommodate couriers at our Elmsall Complex also.
This is specifically for deliveries of 20 cartons or less.
They do not need to be palletised.
Your delivery will be directed to a specific Post Room area for these drops. This will happen automatically when the driver arrives at the gatehouse
Deliveries must still have bookings as normal.
Cartons must still have the box end carton label with the booking reference
Courier deliveries must still have pre-advices uploaded.
Please make sure you are passing all the relevant information to your courier to ensure a smooth delivery.
Handy Tips for Courier Deliveries
- Book a time slot in the delivery window your courier can make.
- The courier needs to have the NEXT booking reference to hand when arriving on site.
- The correct booking reference is key to the delivery being accepted.
- The courier should make themselves known to the gatehouse.
- State they are here for branded refurb and state the booking reference.
- They will then be directed to the Post Room for tipping.
- In the unlikely event of a refusal, the courier will be given a reason and the name of the person refusing the delivery.
- Please obtain this from your courier before querying if a delivery has been delivered or refused.
Box End Label Example
Our preference is for the Box End Labels to be yellow so it is clearly identifiable however, it can be any colour as long as it contains this information and is clearly put on the outside of the carton with the correct delivery address. This can be developed in your own format.
This label is for Concession brands only that will be delivering cartons:
This label is for Wholesale brands only that will be delivering cartons:
